Fingerprinting Service

Arizona requires a set of fingerprints with its bar application. (Other states/jurisdictions may not require fingerprinting services, so check with your jurisdiction first). Even If you have already had fingerprinting/clearance for a job in the past, you still need to get new fingerprints sent to the Arizona Supreme Court for your application.

Please use the Arizona Supreme Court's own Fingerprint Card for this unique purpose; do not use the card available at the law enforcement office you go to for the fingerprinting. The court will supply you with the correct card -- or pop by the Bar and Academic Success office which has cards available.

Once you have the correct fingerprint card, take it to a place that is certified to do fingerprinting. Most students utilize local law enforcement offices for fingerprinting service.

Unfortunately, as of September 16, 2021, the University of Arizona Police Department does not provide fingerprinting service. But there are various other options:

Tucson Police Department

Set up an appointment by calling 520-791-4697 or online.

Services are done at Patrick K. Hardesty Midtown Multi-Service Center at 1100 S Alvernon Way in Tucson. Bring your photo ID and payment ($10)

 

Oro Valley Police Department

Set up an appointment by calling 520-229-5080. Appointments will be available on Tuesdays during the hours of 9am-11am and Thursdays during the hours of 2pm-4pm. No walk-ins.

Services are done at 11000 N. La Cañada Drive. Bring your photo ID and payment ($10)

 

Marana Police Department

No appointment necessary. Services are done at 11555 W Civic Center Dr, Marana Arizona 85653. Fingerprinting hours will be every Tuesday from 9:00 am - 12:00pm and Wednesday 9:00 am – 12:00pm and 1:00 pm to 4:00 pm, except holidays. Bring your photo ID and payment ($10)

 

Pinal County Sheriff

No appointment necessary. Services are done at 31 N Pinal Street, Florence, AZ 85132. Fingerprinting hours will be done Monday through Friday from 8 am to 4 pm. Bring your photo ID and payment ($5). Dress code: no shorts, no tank tops, or flip flops
